With 90 different dictionaries encompassing popular languages such as English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, and Portuguese, you can learn one language sequentially or simultaneously study multiple languages.
The app provides a unique opportunity to learn multiple words per day, which accelerates language acquisition as vocabulary forms the foundation for rapid language learning. The more words you learn, the better you can understand others and the easier it becomes to communicate with them. While grammar is also important, we recommend focusing on learning vocabulary initially, at least the essential words. Failure to do so will result in a more challenging, lengthier, and tedious process of learning a foreign language.
This app is particularly beneficial for individuals who read foreign literature and frequent foreign forums and websites. When encountering an unfamiliar word in text, users can effortlessly add it to their dictionary, view the translation, and subsequently learn it through the training module. Without access to a dictionary, people often forget new words quickly and must search for them again upon encountering them anew.
During the app's development, consideration was given to several factors including the arduousness of manual translation searches and psychological aspects of word learning, as well as time constraints. Consequently, when encountering an unknown word in text, users can conveniently navigate to the app, input the word into the dictionary, and instantly view its translation. If necessary, they can add it to their list of studied words. The program displays the mastery level for each word as a percentage, allowing users to mark a word as "Studied" when they have learned it. Subsequently, these words no longer appear in the training list but remain accessible in the dictionary for quick reference when needed. The "My Dictionary: Polyglot" app is an invaluable tool for foreign language learning, and users can ascertain its effectiveness by experiencing rapid language acquisition firsthand.
